Amazing Google

No wonder so many people say google's search engine
can find anything

1- Go to Google (http://www.google.com )
2- Type in the word "Failure"
3- Instead of clicking "Google Search," click "I'm Feeling Lucky."
4- Giggle
5- Spread the word before the people at Google "fix" it.

Grand Finale

Today was Fake Gurukul.. I mean Fame Gurukul's Grand Finale. The finale was grand in real sense this time, not like the Indian Idol one. The show started with a sizzling and explosive performance of Aasma ke paar by all the contestants and guess what, Mona was looking damn pretty - if I were in India, I would have married her by now. I haven't seen the full version of their video yet.. what a pity! The best part was the chilling suspense that they kept by all the fake tantrums that they threw on the show. There were announcements of various upcoming shows on Sony, they look pretty interesting - and obviously the best among them will be Indian Idol Season 2(starts on Nov 21) and the new Celebrity Fame Gurukul(with world famous Bobby Darling in it =p). The results were as fake and as disappointing as it can get, what else can you expect. Qazi(duh!) and Ruprekha were declared as Fame Jodi winners. The worst jodi that I can ever think. This shows marketing sells and losers sell even betta. Fake Fake Fake everything is Fake in there or else determination does count.

My Ultimate Choice for the Fame Jodi:

They deserved it more than anyone else!!

Earthquake day inside academy

I was sitting on an uncovered seat and the walls were dancing with me. I look at partially wrecked roof which gave an angry to me; jolted as if there was an earthquake. Soon I realised that I was travelling in W-21 bus.

Soon as I reached to my educational institute, I gave a look to my watch. It said to me cheerfully that there is some time for the class. So I climbed the stairs leading to the library, the stairs which reminds me of medieval period, the stairs which can break into pieces any time. Finally, I entered library safe and sound. As soon as I took my seat, I felt a jolt.. the floor was moving. I wanted to shout.. I was about to scream,"Run.. it is an earthquake, EARTHQUAAAAKKEEEEE!!!".

Seconds later, I realised that it is not the first time, when I experiencing this. Whenever somebody enters and walk over those floors, you and your seat feel an unknown sensensation. Poor construction material.. duh!! I have made my mind, I won't go into that useless and unsafe library again.

By the way, I am getting all the attention in the class. My teacher praises me for most of the shirt that I wear, for every answer that I give and for every question that I ask. But sometimes it feels pretty annoying too.

Da Vinci Code

I finally finished Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown today. It got a mixed response from my side. Let me tell you why!

I liked it because:
  • The way of story telling, codes, mystery and twists were truly mesmerizing.
  • It talks about art and symbolism.. it has to catch my eye.
  • The character of Leigh Teabing was well-conceived and interesting too.
  • Creative book cover.
  • The climax.. I liked it!
The things that I didn't seem to impress me are:
  • The end.. climax and epilogue are two different things. You read the whole story and then if you don't like the end; or if it is not written effectively, and with much creativity, you can't call it a winner. I felt as if I was cheated.
  • Some parts don't seem to require such huge descriptions which made it a pretty moti taazi book.
  • The backbone concept.. pagans don't impress me much.
  • Few twists weren't able to hold any suspense for me because I guessed 'em moments before they were unveiled. Like the phone call, the code of the last cryptex and who was the murderer.
Conclusion: I find this book a little over-hyped, this doesn't mean that I didn't like it but yes it could've been better(You can easily presume that a perfectionist leo is talking). Still many people will like this book - only if you ignore my dislike section.

Kajol Madness

When Kajol comes in your dream(even as a sister), you surely wouldn't like to wake up from sleep. I guess, this will be my cheapest post till date but here presenting you some reasons because of which I like her.
  • She's also an adorable leo.
  • She looks beautiful in sarees - looked best in K3G.
  • She has the bestest million dollar smile in the world which leaves a spark in her eyes.
  • She is very spontaneous, intelligent, a goofball and quite funny too.
  • Like every other leo(have you seen me laughing), she owns an unique and infectious laughter.
  • The most charming and elegant lady that I have ever seen, a great actress for sure.
  • And she looks very similar to my cousin =)
*finishes this post with a huge smiles on his sleepy face*

PS: Flu can indirectly affect your saneness.

Randomness

  • Okay its about my H.R. teacher, he has a very fine taste of food and dining. Afterall he is piscean which means he has to be very thin. In most of classes, we usually end up talking about either restaurants or movies; very similar to my taste too.
  • The CRUEL owner of an exclusive alpine resort has banned young children but is still alowing dogs in his hotel. That means most of the bloggers linked on my sidebar are banned or maybe vice versa. Lmao.. just kidding!
  • I felt completely still and achy on bed today as if Godforbid I was dead or had paralysis.
  • Student's Biryani, we all know that it is probably the best biryani in the town but today when I was there for take away, I found the service to be very lousy - an utter disappointment.
  • I will kill those Indus freaks. There is a show named Cafe Vision, the lamest show where people kill time by discussing on useless topics and never come to any conclusion. A singer came for reciting a hamd-e-baaritaalah and in the music piece he was acting as if he was a rock star who is playing guitar. This is how they represent the youth. Sigh!
Enough for today.. tune in tomorrow, same place, not sure about time - be here or be square.. hehe

Run Raheel Run!

Rickshaws are after me.. I am telling you, they are after my foot. It is the second time when a rickshaw driver has driven over my feet. I guess, I should run for safety!!

It was extremely hot today; thirst, 4.5 hours of studies and 1.5 hours on time-killing in college and a sleepy mood can make it more tough. I think I have survived. It's 10:25 PM and my body is still absorbing and releasing heat. And if you are thinking that I am complaining then you betta discard this thought right away.

Say it Raheel!

I have so much to say but I guess, overloading information is not a good practice.

  1. God, I am sorry about being angry and unthankful yesterday but I know you are very kind. It was a difficult rather an impossible task to reach NWFP and Kashmir and transfer relief there because of heavy rains, hail and landslide. But now you've made things little easy. Relief is getting there. Thanks God.. thank you very much.

  2. 12:30 AM when 12th october has just started, some areas of Karachi felt slight jolts. Luckily we were not under that region but now I can better understand how thousands of homeless people would be feeling at this very moment - how much fear, tremor and sorrow you feel in those few seconds?! How worried I was, how much terror was there in my eyes and how fast was my heart beating?! I felt God forbid we can be the next victims. Allah ne reham kiya, He is merciful. He will surely help us and give us all the strength to make a huge difference. Amen

  3. I have a very nice e-mail explaining the cause of this earthquake and the tsunami. I tried to publish it here but I am getting trouble with the formatting. If anyone wants to read it, I can forward you that mail. Just send me a notification at mail2raheel@yahoo.com or leave a comment asking for mail.

  4. I thought extensively about the whole issue and came to some conclusions. I will write a post about it very soon. Again its not a research but an opinion so you will have full right as always to agree or not.

  5. My horoscopes says that I could be shouting in an angry mood. Was I? Not at all. Okay only once, when the rickshaw driver drove/crashed/whateva! slightly over my foot. My vocab needs rehab.

  6. And.. yes Happy Birthday Mom!! May God bless you and our family with millions of such happy occassions to cherish. Thank you God for giving me such nice parents. May God bless them and keep us all in His kind and benovelent shelter. Amen. (An unusual moment, at one end there is happiness and at the other end there are tears in my eyes for those orphans who have lost everything in this disaster.. May Allah show them His unconditional love, help them and give them patience. Amen)

Faith is all we need!

Sea View, Defence and Clifton areas of Karachi felt slight jolts of 4.0 magnitude approximately at 12:30 AM. Media is suggesting that these jolts are of minor nature so there is no need to panic and not related to saturday's massive earthquake(a quake by itself).

Thanks God, luckily the area where I live, didn't felt any. Karachites keep faith in God.

Ya Allah reham karein. Amen

PS: Qalat in Balochistan also felt some minor tremour jolts.

Prejudice - kill it!

Why the hell relief is not advancing to the most crucial parts of Pakistan? Why the hell Islamabad is the only centre of attention? Why the hell Northen Regions and Kashmir is getting ignored? Why the hell there is a big prejudice when it comes to equal and fair distribution? Aren't all Pakistanis one? The largest amount of damage is caused in small villages and northern areas and after three damn days, no relief service has reached for their help. Please Allah do mercy upon people of my country. Amen

PS: People keep donating physical things as well as money because it isn't only about the current relief efforts, its also about reconstructing the whole infrastructure. Making homes, schools and hospitals for these homeless people and help them in getting settled in life and ignite some hope in their souls for a bright future which will take lot of time, effort and finance.

7.6 - an aftermath of war in Afghanistan

Today a massive Earthquake, measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale hit Pakistan at morning. It is the biggest and the strongest quake ever to hit this region during the last hundred years. Aftershocks were also felt which varied from magnitude of 5.4 - 6.3 and the danger of such attacks will prevail for couple of days - all this have caused renewed panic. It is feared that the death toll may rise to thousands -20000 casualities are already confirmed; many people are still trapped helplessly under the debris. The earthquake has effected three countries including Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.

The epicenter of the quake was in Hindukush range, 250 kilometers from Peshawar. Severe shocks were felt in Islamabad(city faced the maximum destruction), Rawalpindi, Lahore, Kashmir, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jehlem, Chakwal, Northern Regions of Pakistan, New Dehli and Kabul. Several villages have got completely ruined and thousands of people have gone homeless; the ones in Islamabad are spending their night outside under the sky in the rains.

The shocking fact is most of these cities are close to Afghan border and this tragedy could be one amongst the several repercussions of War of Terrorism played brutally by Bush in Afghanistan, maybe an after-effect of the weapons of mass destruction that were used in the war. God better knows what He wants to tell us. Yet, Don't you think that we are harming the humanity and the world ourself.

The damage is uncontrollable; though pray for the souls of the people who died in this natural calamity that their souls may rest in eternal peace. May God give us strength and patience to cope up with this immense sorrow and keep us all safe under His benevolent shelter. (Amen)

I hope everything gets well soon and remains fine in days to come. Keep Praying!!

DONATE!!

Ramadhan Mubarak

Ramadhan Mubarak to all of you. May this beneficial month bring a lot of happiness, forgiveness, satisfaction and prosperity in your lives.

This Ramadhan I will be deprived of eating all that chatpata stuff that is available at home and everywhere else. But on the brighter side, at least I am lucky enough to have a blessing of food. I don't have to write this as every one is aware of it and they practice it whole-heartedly but just for a reminder, Share your blessings with others too.

Another fact that I observe every Ramadhan is that Muslims tend to become virtuous or say they shape up/behave like Muslims in a real sense but only till the Iftar and after that they carry on with the acts which are forbidden or atleast sinful(not in a conservative sense phuleaze). I hope that God gives will to each one of us to be righteous, not only in the month of Ramadhan but for the whole year ahead.

Have a very exciting and virtuous Ramadhan!

Lame Lamas

There is no shortage of paindoos in Karachi. They are available in abundance, you will find them everywhere in every size and shape, ready for sale in do do rupay. Those idiots only know how to do he-he-ha-ha and bitch over things they aren't aware of. Being a paindoo is acceptable but if you're like a lama who is trying to be pretty lame then God help you, duh!! Most of these bastards should stop bullshitting about the things that are difficult to comprehend for their pea-sized minds. Those cowards don't have enough courage to admit and defend their actions. Convocation of Self Development(12 year) Graduation

1st Oct 2005
My wish came true but hard luck, got no attention. Never trust others, always trust your own intuition. Anyways I am very thankful to my dear God for all the respect and blessings that He has bestowed upon me.

Sid, Happy Birthday!!

2nd Oct 2005
Sorrie my dearest God, I was a little complaining and unthankful about yesterday's no attention dilemma and today's conference. I was wrong, I left early from the convocation but a beautiful marble sheild is still waiting for me. I will collect it soon, thank you so much! Conference was okay, but yes I did learn few things which will help me in my future professional as well as personal life too. By the way, learning doesn't come from money so never dare to curse it. I am again sorry. These conversations with God are highly personal affair for me and I don't know whether I should here or not but If anyone of you thinks that this makes your faith stronger then I guess, the tradition should go on.

PS: Two of our neighbours passed away, please do pray for the peace of their souls.(Amen)
